How We Decorate Our Home for Halloween

Halloween is definitely one of our favorite holidays to celebrate. It’s the first holiday in Arizona where the weather starts to actually cool down. It’s what we like to call the door to the holidays. Once Halloween rolls around, you’re set for a few months of holiday fun. With events, how often do they stay set up for you to enjoy multiple days? Not very. Being able to decorate our home for the seasons that we really love gives us an opportunity for a fun and creative outlet that we can enjoy for more than 24 hours. (more…)

A Misty Foxboro Ranch Wedding in Flagstaff, Arizona

Nestled in the Northern Arizona, you’ll find the quaint town of Flagstaff. Not only do the beautiful mountain views take you on a retreat away from the desert sights, but the weather is dramatically different. Summers in Arizona are usually filled with swimming pools and heatwaves, but in Flagstaff, you can have an outdoor wedding mid August and everyone in attendance will enjoy the cool summer breeze. Gabrielle (referred to from here on out as Gabe because we are tight and I get to call her that…), Nick and I all go way back from our high school job days (whats up Pump It Up alumni!!!). When Gabe asked if we would help make their big day special and one of a kind, I couldn’t have been more honored. They decided to have their special day at a venue that Gabe described as the perfect setting. “The pictures just don’t do this place justice”, as I remember Gabe telling me when talking about her design and vision for their big day. Throw An Epic Pumpkin Carving Party

Since October has rolled around and finally started to feel like fall, we’ve been really enjoying all the festive things that come with October; Halloween, spooky decor and lots and lots of pumpkins. Literally! Everywhere you go, you can buy a pumpkin. Whether it is a fake pumpkin or a real pumpkin, pumpkins are the official mascot of Halloween, right? That and Bette Midler in Hocus Pocus. With Halloween in just a few short weeks, I recently got together with a few close girlfriends and hosted our own pumpkin carving party to really get in the festive mood. This was the first pumpkin carving party that we’ve hosted, and throughout the process, I’ve picked up a few tips and tricks so you throw an epic pumpkin carving party yourself. (more…)

Scottsdale Destination Wedding at Four Seasons

We’ve got a beautiful Scottsdale destination wedding at four seasons that we’re so excited to be sharing. This celebration is filled with a ton of southwestern inspired details and loaded with an abundance of colorful details, which we really love.  The greatest thing about Arizona weddings is that you can have a completely outdoor event in winter and not completely freeze. This wedding took place in February and you would never guess based off the colorful details and outdoor setting. Tori & Geoff are from the Dallas area, and they desired to travel to Scottsdale, Arizona to say their “I Do’s”.  (more…)

A Modern Oktoberfest Dinner Party

We’ve been spending quite a lot of time outside in the evenings. Sure, it is still pretty warm here in Arizona, but it is significantly cooler now that the sun is setting earlier. With being outside, I can’t help but start planning and hosting some events of our own at the ranch. Every year, we kind of go all out during the holidays. Starting in September and headed through New Years. To kick off the holiday season, we’re sharing about our take on September’s number one holiday inspired event; a modern Oktoberfest Dinner Party. Wedding Day Emergency Kit Essentials

We’re pretty positive that you’re wedding day will be seamless, but you still should prepare yourself in the event that something unplanned (and unwelcome) happens. One thing that shouldn’t be missing on the wedding day is an emergency kit stocked with tools to fix everything from a torn dress to a nuclear explosion—sometimes wedding disasters can feel like the latter. In any case, here’s our wedding day emergency kit essentials we think you shouldn’t be caught without on the big day (more…)

Running A Successful Business And Life With Structure

Tremaine Ranch is about 4.5 years old. When Leah and I first went full time with our newly budding business the thought of making our own hours and controlling our schedule very exciting and a huge motivator for our decision. No more waking up at 5am every morning with no new goals or motivation behind the sacrifice, besides the obvious paycheck. We were excited to run a successful business! (more…)

An Epic Joshua Tree Engagement Shoot

We know that our name is confusing and we know that we do a lot more than just wedding related things. But, we really ENJOY doing all those wedding related things. Planning a wedding, designing a dream rehearsal dinner, helping with a fun concept for a bridal shower… the list can go on and on. With Tremaine Events, we are able to make weddings & events our bread and butter. It’s fun to do all the design work, but we really love seeing what other people do with our pieces. So when Jane in the Woods reached out for some furniture for an epic Joshua Tree engagement shoot, we were so eager to see what sort of setting they would make. (more…)
