Looking for some Moody Wedding inspiration? You’ve come to the right place. And when we say right place, we’re talking about The Monroe Abbey in Phoenix. The Monroe Abbey in Phoenix, Arizona is seriously a sight. If you’ve had the pleasure of shooting at this location or just touring it, consider yourself lucky. The old building dates back to 1929, and if you know us, you know our love for old buildings. The former Baptist church that was destroyed by a fire in the mid ‘80s is now undergoing a transformation to keep the early 20th century exterior intact while cleaning up the inside. The goal is to host weddings and events at the property, giving Arizona natives a new and unique venue to choose from. This is the perfect setting for the moody wedding inspiration that was inspiration for this shoot. (more…)
Shannon reached out to us in hopes to find the perfect furniture and decor to go with her boho dream wedding. She had been working with Mandi at Butterfly Petals to execute her wildest dreams as far as wedding decor goes. As soon as Shannon started describing her aesthetic, we were hooked and so looking forward to making her day much more than just another celebration but to make this ultimate boho dream wedding a reality. A few months back, we launched our property Rowhouse 25. Rowhouse 25 is a historic property in Florence, Arizona, that dates back to 1881. We put a ton of work bringing the old bones back to life. We have hosted photoshoots, dinner parties, and more at our property since opening it’s doors. One of our favorite photoshoots that we had was a behind the scenes shoot with Katie Frederick, owner and mastermind behind Sift Bakehouse AZ. Katie has a truly unique style to all of her designs. We’ve really enjoyed working with her on a handful of events around town. She truly has the best buttercream frosting recipe. Whenever she has leftovers of delicious treats we can’t help but eat more than we should. Working with Katie is always fun and you can’t help but leave with a smile. Katie needed a place for a behind the scenes shoot with Stephanie of at Life Created, and reached out to utilize Rowhouse 25. (more…)

Okay, so you know when you get invited to be a part of a really cool project (in this case, an event) with really talented people that you’ve admired? This next event is just that… We were asked to be a part of a beautiful dinner under the stars in Joshua Tree, California with our new friends at Moonrise Standard. They’re all about bringing people and communities a stronger connection with their food and the farmers that grow it. They want to educate their dinner guests the importance of how their food got to their plate and why it is valuable information to know. We love their mission, love their style, and overall, really just love what they’re doing. So when they reached out, we of course said yes!
As we are finalizing details, selling tickets and gearing up for our next Ivy Event, Shakers & Makers, we thought it would be a fun to share about our panel speakers here! We know that in order to make a panel worth it for you, we need to provide you with people who are excited, passionate and educated on what they do so you get the most out of your experience. When we first started running an event based company, we thought we could do it all. We thought we could make paper products, put together flower arrangements, plan full weddings… you name it! To be honest, we were doing it all, and we were doing it all well. We were proud of the work we were creating and it looked nice, which is a win/win. It wasn’t until we started to grow and expand into different areas of the event world did we realized we needed to tone down what exactly it is that we were offering, and be a little more picky about what full service events we plan and put together. We’ve enjoyed planning and coordinating full weddings, but the small events are more our jam. Bridal showers, dinner parties, and baby showers are some of our favorites. Baby showers are always so fun! You’re celebrating the life of a new human… how insane, right? This baby shower that took place at a private estate by Camelback Mountain was one of those smaller events that we agreed to plan and put together.
If you’ve been following us for some time, I am sure you’ve heard of The Ivy Event. If not, let us explain… One of the reasons we started The Ivy Event was because we know networking and getting out of your comfort zone is super hard. We totally get it! It’s hard to introduce yourself or strike up a conversation with a stranger… but that’s one of our goals with The Ivy Event. We want our guests and friends to come, have fun, make new connections that actually mean something, all while enjoying a night surrounded by like minded folks. If you’re not sure if this is a good fit for you, we invite you to give it a try. We recently wrapped up our last event which was a happy hour night out hosted with our friends at Iconic Cocktail Co.
