Nestled in the Northern Arizona, you’ll find the quaint town of Flagstaff. Not only do the beautiful mountain views take you on a retreat away from the desert sights, but the weather is dramatically different. Summers in Arizona are usually filled with swimming pools and heatwaves, but in Flagstaff, you can have an outdoor wedding mid August and everyone in attendance will enjoy the cool summer breeze. Gabrielle (referred to from here on out as Gabe because we are tight and I get to call her that…), Nick and I all go way back from our high school job days (whats up Pump It Up alumni!!!). When Gabe asked if we would help make their big day special and one of a kind, I couldn’t have been more honored. They decided to have their special day at a venue that Gabe described as the perfect setting. “The pictures just don’t do this place justice”, as I remember Gabe telling me when talking about her design and vision for their big day.
Gabe got ready at the Hotel Weatherford in town, where she and her best friends laughed about inside jokes and created some new memories which are sure to last a lifetime. To be completely honest, this was one of those bridal parties where they all got along so well and laughed so much, I couldn’t help but wish I was a part of it. Once all the girls were ready, Gabe, our bride, wanted to walk over to the church with her bridal party. These are some of our favorite pictures from their big day. How often do you see a bridal party walking together down busy streets on the way to her own wedding ceremony?
Gabe + Nick said their “I Do’s” in the historic Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel in town. This church dates back to 1929, and is one of those hidden gems that you just can’t help but gasp at! The beautiful artwork makes for some gorgeous ceremony photographs. After the beautiful ceremony, all of the guests headed to Foxboro Ranch to dine and celebrate with friends and family; near and dear. Guests ate dinner inside, shared toasts and specialty dances under the cabin’s roof, but moved the party outside onto the lake view patio, where they danced the night away.
This wedding is one that you can see the joy in almost every picture. You can feel the summer breeze during their portraits, you can feel the fun in the room… not all weddings are able to translate how fun and purposeful they are just through the photographs. Full planning, styling & rentals were done through our team and we couldn’t imagine having it any other way. Enjoy this misty Foxboro Ranch wedding and get your butts to a Flagstaff, Arizona wedding ASAP.
