It is wild to think that the wedding we are showing you today is almost a year old. It was recently featured in Love Inc. magazine, but this Romantic + Rainy Wisconsin Wedding is so much more special than a feature. Julie is my cousin on my father’s side, and last year we traveled to Wisconsin to celebrate her wedding to her new husband, Paul. Julie asked me if I would be able to help do day of coordination and some styling at the venues and I couldn’t have been more honored.
When we went out to Wisconsin, we had actually shared about our stay in this post as well as visit the most beautiful winery you can find in Green Bay. We spent a few days visiting with family leading up to the wedding, which is always a blast. My parents are both from Wisconsin, so when we’re able to visit, it is always a huge ordeal that we all get together. In fact, here is a photograph with the majority of my family in it – this is only aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins… and a few people were missing! ha ha
Julie shares their story over in Love Inc. Magazine about how they met. She mentions her traveling nurse adventure, and that is kind of a fun story for her and me too. She was in Arizona for a few months for a job, and during that time we were able to get a lot closer than before. Having grown ups on different sides of the country, we were only able to hang out when either of us visited the other state. We were close, but I truly felt that her time in Arizona made us even closer than before. With zumba classes, kayaking down the salt river and just catching up, it was really a joy to have her living here with us. And for good measure, here is a ridiculous photograph from later in the evening after the coordinating was done and the dancing was well underway… ha ha!
Julie had been so on top of all of her planning, she really didn’t need us. She needed a little help with some decor at Scheig Center, the ceremony property, as well as setting the tables at the reception venue. Over all, Julie had everything covered and we were simply checking off her to do list day of. It was a breeze!
During the set up, it was sprinkling on and off, but it was never too horrible of a down pour. But right when the ceremony started, the clouds took a break and the rain stopped to make this Romantic + Rainy Wisconsin Wedding a dream come true. The umbrellas were put down, and the lighting was perfect. I mean, just take a look at these beautiful photographs from Elizabeth Haase Photography. We had such an incredible time celebrating Julie & Paul on this special day. We are actually heading back to Wisconsin TODAY for another wedding, and hopefully it won’t take us a year to share about that trip.
