If you’ve been following us for some time, I am sure you’ve heard of The Ivy Event. If not, let us explain… One of the reasons we started The Ivy Event was because we know networking and getting out of your comfort zone is super hard. We totally get it! It’s hard to introduce yourself or strike up a conversation with a stranger… but that’s one of our goals with The Ivy Event. We want our guests and friends to come, have fun, make new connections that actually mean something, all while enjoying a night surrounded by like minded folks. If you’re not sure if this is a good fit for you, we invite you to give it a try. We recently wrapped up our last event which was a happy hour night out hosted with our friends at Iconic Cocktail Co.
The Ivy Event offers curated events focusing on bringing community together in an effort to build a network of like minded individuals. The Ivy Event focuses on creating authentic memories and moments that are unlike your typical networking events. In fact, we try to stay away from calling any of our events ‘networking events’. We think of our events as more of an opportunity to meet like minded folks in similar industries & entrepreneurs in a casual setting, where dancing & laughing is highly encouraged. As Ivy vine grows, it sets roots into the soil deeply and densely, and creates a network of roots which binds the soil, helping to prevent erosion and slippage on slopes. Ivy has the ability to climb almost any vertical surface, clinging by means of aerial roots. Once established Ivy plants will rapidly cover any wall or fence with lush evergreen foliage. The Ivy Event is ready to help create a network of roots within the creative industry in your city.
At our Happy Hour event with Iconic Cocktail Co., we had folks from all different fields join us. It was an incredible experience to meet new friends and hang with someone new. We believe that we are stronger with the support of a creative community rather than a competitive career. The more people who you have that support, share genuine opinions and work with you to create genuine connections, referrals or partnerships, the better we all have at making the most of our careers and our own successes. We also partnered with over 15 local companies to donate goods to help raise funds for HALO Animal Rescue. Located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, HALO Animal Rescue is a safety net for thousands of homeless dogs and cats each year. They are a no-kill facility, which means they never euthanize an animal because they have run out of room, but it also means they are limited in the animals they can take in at any given time. The animals are lovingly cared for while they are prepared for adoption, and then they are adopted into loving homes. We believe in this charity and it’s purpose, and were lucky to raise over $650! We even had a member from HALO Animal Rescue bring an adoptable pup to join in the fun.
Conceptually Social created simple bites and passed appetizers throughout the evening that paired so perfectly with the custom cocktail/mocktail recipes that Iconic Cocktail Co. created to make our happy hour truly one of a kind. Basically Brandy captured our event so perfectly through the lens of her camera, and we are beyond thrilled to share the images. If you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding or event, we can’t recommend reaching out to Brandy enough. She was a pure joy to work with and the images truly speak for themselves. Nat & Jared, the duo behind the beautiful video of our evening, created the most epic video that truly captured the fun and energy of the night so well. They love capturing happy people, so it was a no brainer to have them involved on our dream team of vendors for the night. Sweet Wool Co. was onsite spinning sugar cane for our attendees with unique flavors like blueberry, prosecco and milk chocolate – yum! Furniture and decor was provided through Tremaine Events, of course, including that giant balloon wall. That piece took over 1500 balloons and 4.5 hours to make. It was definitely the highlight of the decor, but boy was it a ton of work. Worth it? We think so! Beautiful yellow themed floral arrangements from Hoot & Holler made all the difference in the world for our event. We are big believers in flowers (real flowers) for your event, and love the yellow arrangements that Malori arranged for us. With fresh tunes spinning from Ellagant Entertainment and the Rendezbooth photo booth flashing photos all night, we are pretty positive that this was our best event YET.
We had so much fun at this event and hope everyone who joined in on the fun had a great time to. If you’re bummed you missed out and want to know when are next event is, you’re in luck! We’ve got a new event, Shakers & Makers, coming up on May 10th in Phoenix. To get your tickets, be sure to visit The Ivy Event for more information. We hope to see you there!
