A while back, our good friends Christina & Rob, the creators and talent behind New Darlings, reached out to see if we had any interest in helping them throw an backyard dinner party. They had put together a FEED dinner party, in hopes to feed some of those in need of meals. FEED is a wonderful organization who believe that food has the power to bring many together, and together, we have the power to bring food to many. By hosting dinner parties (FEED calls them FEED Suppers), you’re able to invite your guests to help give back to those in need. The best part is that 100% of the proceeds raised from your FEED Supper is directly donated to their partner, Feeding America. So, of course we wanted to be involved. And boy are we so happy we were a part of such a fun and important night.
We have been wanting to plan a fun event with Christina & Rob for a while now, so when they had mentioned it to us, we were so excited to be able to work with our friends. We had chatted with Christina & Rob about their event and ways we could help such as providing furniture and tabletop decor. They shared their mood board for the over all vibe, their guest count, and their idea for what sort of setting they wanted to create. They basically laid out these beautiful and perfect blueprints for a really fun night and made it easy for us to do our job the best way we know how. We worked on style boards with colors, textures and what pieces from our inventory we would be able to use. Our friend Alex Leiphart, who is a talented graphic designer and the owner behind Alex and Co. which is his design studio. Alex worked on all the design aspect of our paper products including the menu and the invite. Also, Alex is the master mind behind all of our own pretty graphics and new site which we are really pleased with. Dinner was catered by North Italia and shared among friends, new and old, in the privacy of their backyard. With lush foliage in the middle of the desert, this backyard garden was the perfect setting for their dinner party. Adding fresh florals from Camelback Flowershop to the tables made all the difference in the world. We are big fans of fresh floral for events, and keeping things simple with a glass vase to show those green stems create simple details to help with the overall aesthetic of your setting. With the weather starting to heat up more and more in Arizona, we can’t help but get a head start on planning for some fun fall events to enjoy that beautiful fall desert weather. We had such a blast and already are dreaming of the next time we get to work with friends on a fun project.
